What Is High-Density Mobile Storage?

In one sentence: it’s a way to store much more in less space. We’re all familiar with traditional static shelves—but the challenge with static storage is that it takes up a fixed amount of space. The amount of stuff being housed in your work space or storage area keeps growing, while the square footage stays exactly the same.

If you don’t have the money to expand your space to accommodate the growing amount of items, there’s a good chance it’s overcrowded and unorganized, which leads to a whole other set of issues: decreased productivity, safety hazards for employees, and ultimately, a negative effect on your bottom line.

Maximus Mobile High Density storage solves all of these challenges. By mounting shelving or cabinets onto a carriage and rail system, mobile storage eliminates fixed aisles to compact your storage space. It’s a simple concept that enables you to significantly increase your storage capacity or store the same amount of items in half the footprint. In the other half of that space? The room to do the things that can grow your business and use towards productive uses.

How It Works

Fixed Aisles = Wasted Space

Conventional stationary files, shelving and storage cabinets require fixed aisles that waste space.

High-Density Storage - Store the Same Amount in 1/2 the Space

Maximus Mobile High-Density Storage Systems eliminate all but one movable aisle, in most cases saving 50% of your floor space for more productive uses

2X Storage Capacity

Plus, Maximus High-Density Mobile Systems allow you to double the storage capacity of your existing space.

Store More in Less Space

Ultimately, Maximus Mobile Storage Systems provide you with solutions for your space. You have options with optimizing your existing space that doesn't always have to involve expanding your space or purchasing more space for your business.

Implementing a high-density or compacting mobile storage can also be a great investment compared to renting more space.

Mobile storage systems can vastly increase your storage capacity. Instead of having an aisle between every row of shelving, mobile systems have one “mobile” aisle and all the other space previously used by aisles is converted to shelving. This process can nearly double your storage capacity. See the model below for an example of how you can store the same amount of stuff in just 1/2 of the space.

Alternately, you can store the same amount of items and materials in a smaller area, giving you room to do more in the freed up space.

Mobile systems increase productivity, save money and increase space.

Flexibility

Mobile carriages can be fitted to your existing shelving or designed for a completely new system to effectively optimize your storage capacity.

Shelving is raised by 3″ off the floor using the low-profile carriages (some configurations may require 4″). These low-profile carriages keep higher shelves within reach.

Systems can be installed directly on the floor or with a flush deck between the tracks. Ramps can be added with or without deck to further ease access, especially for carts and ADA access.

Built to Handle Any Capacity

Weight is not a problem for our mobile storage systems. The manual storage system is rated for 1,150 lbs. per linear foot. Weight is dispersed better by installing a track under every upright. This creates less load on the floor and enables the system to be installed in more locations.

For extremely heavy applications, additional wheels are added to share the weight load, which vastly increases storage capacity.
